My first show in New York (well, in Red Hook, Brooklyn, specifically)
I somehow managed to land the front wall of the mammoth two story warehouse show at Red Hook Pier and dropped off seven paintings on Saturday. I'll have twenty five drawings in the flatfile they have for exhibitors, and as I get those image files ready I'll post which I plan to have for sale.
The show runs collectively, and I spent the rest of Saturday lugging scrap building material to a dumpster and hanging a hella-load, (like, over a hundred, easily) little works on a salon wall for the fund-raising auction. I included a little crow drawing to auction. Good luck finding it - that wall is an art show 'where's waldo' experience.
I've met a few artists here. I'll be linking to the pages as I find out where they have their work online, but here's the first one. Joergen Geerds is one of the show's co-chairs. He's the one who assigned me to the entrance of the show. His nighttime photos of NYC lightscapes will be hanging across the room from my work. Here's one of his entitled Goldfish:::
