Birthday cake in Times Square

I've been working on still shoots assisting the best stylist in NYC, Victoria Granof.  Craigslist.  I got this gig off of Craigslist.  Alls I'm sayin is, the craigslists, shimmed between the many posts for escort jobs and rub-n-tug parlors, hid a job a lot of people would kill for.  Hoorays for ME.

On these shoots I've been bumping into photo people and other artists.  Yesterday, after Insieme Restaurant booted our asses off their dining room, our last shot of the day, we repaired to the street in Times Square to have birthday cake.  There, candles and all and cake cut with plastic forks, I exchanged contact info with the photo department guys trying to forge a friendship or two to break up our homebound-sadsack-social-less behavior we've developed here in a new city.  I found some cool work from this:::
Michel Leroy is a photographer from Montana here in Queens - his site is in flash, so I can't lift any images but here's the link::: michel leroy
His wife's work in ceramics is lovely::

Kristopher Johnson, not to be confused with my betrothed, with a K as you see, worked the photo department as well.  Here's one of his:::

Phred Phelps's Church of the Angry Closet puts out "We are the World" revision

Oh My God.  This original post is deleted, but Warren Ellis's blog has a working clip of the To-puke-a based Westboro church, (mainly Fred Phelps and his non-gay children,) singing together.  Holy GOD this is freaky.
link here - and as Ellis is right when he mentions the last 20 seconds of the clip, hang on to the end for the real horror.

An Icon passes

My brother had an Evel Kneivel costume he wore for Halloween year after year.  Goodbye, Mr. Kneivel.  Say hi to Bill.
